At CFE, our work focuses on tackling real-world questions that shape policy and practice. We design and deliver independent research and evaluations across education, wellbeing, employment and skills, and public services. Our team uses a mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches – from large-scale surveys and statistical analysis to in-depth interviews, focus groups, and case studies. We evaluate the impact of national programmes, explore what works (and why) in different contexts, and generate insights that help clients make evidence-based decisions. Staff regularly translate complex findings into accessible reports, briefings, and presentations for government departments, public agencies, and charities.
