Local Evaluation for Ageing Better in Birmingham

Birmingham Voluntary Services Council (BVSC) is one of 15 projects across England to receive funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Ageing Better programme. BVSC has been awarded £6million over six years to reduce and prevent isolation among the over 50s. Ageing Better in Birmingham takes a community development approach, seeking to harness the power of active citizenship.

CFE Research are excited to be undertaking the local evaluation of this innovative programme. Our evaluation will include ethnographic observation of activities, longitudinal qualitative research with a cohort of participants, interviews with staff and volunteers and analysis of survey data.
